Wedding Planning Timeline

Recently engaged and starting your wedding planning journey? Here are our recommended timestamps for when to look into different events and vendors for your big day. Every wedding and couple is different, if you have a shorter timeline don't worry! We can still help you find your perfect dress even on a time-crunch.


1.5-2 Years Out:

-Get Engaged!

-Start to tour venues


1 Year Year Out:

-Book Venue

-Start dress shopping

-Start to look at major vendors


10-11 Months Out:

-Book Photographer

-Take Engagement Photos

-Block out any hotel rooms needed for the wedding. (If you are getting married around any major Holidays you will need to book ASAP.)

-Order your gown!


8-9 Months Out:

-Call and book your seamstress, let them know when your gown will arrive and when your wedding is

-Book your catering

-Send Save the Dates

-Make your Website


6-7 Months Out:

-Book Officiant

-Pick Cake and Finalize Baker

-Make Registry

-Begin Alterations

-Book Band/DJ


4-5 Months Out:

-Order Invites

-Order Decor

-Have your Bridal Shower

-Order your veil and any other bridal accessories


2-3 Months Out:

-Mail Invites

-Finalize photography timeline

-Start vows


1 Month Out:

-Get your marriage license

-Finalize Wedding Timeline

-Finalize Wedding Decor

-Finalize Vows

-Schedule your week of dress steam

After Wedding


-Enjoy your time together as newly-weds

-Have your gown dry cleaned and preserved!
